Caste and apartheid

A new website/blog worth keeping track of is Dalit (…network for unity, solidarity & struggle of dalits). Stating that “…the caste system is the largest Apartheid system in the world”,  the site’s aims (there are two separate versions – 1 & 2) are action-based, from the educational:

“To oppose anti-Dalit, anti-minorties propaganda and deliberately confusing information put out by the enemies of Dalits”

to the more action oriented:

“to help eradicate this evil practice… to unite as many Dalits and their sympathisers as possible, on a theoretical common understanding of how the caste system can be destroyed”
